Pillars of Life at UO

Campus Facilities

Modern scientific and computer laboratories, a central library linked with the HEC digital database, hostels, transport, sports grounds, a central mosque, a Women Development Centre, and a technology incubator support study, research, and everyday campus life. Admissions, fees, and examinations run on automated systems as part of UO's smart-university services.

Societies & Extracurriculars

Students join sports teams, literary and art appreciation societies, and the university media club. Department-led events — such as the Entrepreneurship Gala by Management Sciences — build leadership, creativity, and professional networks beyond the classroom.

Sports & Recreation

The sports complex and dedicated grounds host inter-faculty competition and fitness for all levels. Sports Gala 2026, organised under the Director Sports, highlighted athletic excellence and student volunteering across the campus community.

Skills, Innovation & Careers

The Training & Skills Development Centre (TSDC) offers market-oriented short courses for students and professionals. ORIC promotes research commercialisation and startups, while career and overseas-placement seminars prepare students for local and global opportunities.

Women Development Centre

The Women Development Centre advances gender equity through seminars, entrepreneurship showcases, and leadership programmes. International Women's Day brought students and faculty together to celebrate empowerment, skills, and inclusive campus culture.

Community & Recognition

Community outreach, cultural programmes, and international linkages connect students with Okara and the wider world. UO has earned recognition in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject, reflecting a growing culture of research and learning.
