As per the directions of the Government of Punjab and Higher Education Commission (HEC), the University of Okara will reopen for on-campus academic activities for only MS/MPhil and PhD students with effect from September 15, 2020. The University of Okara has introduced a comprehensive system of eLearning for all departments. More than 400 teachers are actively engaging the 12,000 students in virtual classes through Whatsapp Groups and Skype. Hero of the Day - Muhammad Shafique (Senior Security Guard)

Today, Mr. Kaleem Ullah (DSP Legal) lost his wallet at the UO main gate. The wallet contained 5570 rupees and some other belongings. The on-duty guard, Mr. Shafique found the wallet and instead of concealing it, he produced it to the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Nobahar Khan. The owner of the wallet was identified, called and returned with the wallet in presence of the Resident Officer, Dr. Shahzad Ahmad. Hats Off to the HONESTY of Mr. Shafique!
