Dr. Amjad Ali Associate Professor Physics Email: amjadali@uo.edu.pk / amjad09pu@yahoo.com Tel: +92 333 6968144 / 300 4795606 Dr. Amjad Ali is currently working as Associate Professor (BPS-20) of Physics at University of Okara. Dr Ali started his carrier as Lecturer at University of Education Lahore, Okara Campus in 2005. He served as an Assistant Professor in University of Education Lahore from 2013-2016. Ali promoted as Associate in August 2021. In addition to his MSc in Physics from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Ali is graduated from Center for High Energy Physics, University of the Punjab, Lahore. The MPhil Research title was “Solar Neutrino Flux and Standard Solar Model”. Dr. Ali worked as visitor researcher for six months at Department of Materials and Engineering, Royal Institute Technology (KTH), Sweden and completed his PhD in Physics from COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. During the last 16-years of experience, he has been teaching to undergraduate and graduate level students. Ali also supervised two MPhil Research students. Once he has been selected for one-month professional development training program in 2009 at Plymouth State University (PSU), USA. Ali succeeded in winning a prize on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution from PSU-Pakistan Educational Leadership Institute in 2010. Ali’s research background consists of synthesis technioques, characterization of nanomaterials for energy devices including Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and Direct Carbon Fuel Cell. Ali is expert in X-Ray diffraction, surface morphology, thermogravimetric analysis, optical, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and UV−Visible spectroscopy as well as fuel cell performance. Ali also has some expertise in Density Functional Theory. Ali has published more than 24 articles in peer-reviewed international SCI scientific journals like ACS Applied materials & Interfaces, Journal of Power Sources, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Appl. Phys. Lett. Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, RSC Advances,ACS Applied Energy Materials, Materials Today Energy and Ceramics International with more than 90 impact factor and Citations 152. Ali is also co-author of Book Chapter “Low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells with bio alcohol fuels. In Bioenergy Systems for the Future” published by Woodhead Publisher in 2017. Ali has been awarded the Research Productivity Award by the COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus for the years 2017 and 2018. He is HEC recognized PhD supervisor since 2019. Dr. Ali is also member Pakistan Institute of Physics & Clean Energy Research Lab (CERL) COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. Ali has attended many national and international workshops like Experimental Science Training and Modeling and Simulation of Materials using DFT. Ali has attended many international conferences and delivered talks. Dr. Ali has also worked as Head of Department of Physics, Additional Registrar Academics. Now he is a member of many committees of University of Okara.
