Dr. Maqsood Ahmad
Head of Department (HoD)
PhD in Statistics
Dr. Maqsood Ahmad did his Ph.D in Statistics from College of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences, University of the Punjab. During PhD, he visited Lancaster University, United Kingdom, for research consultancy and presented his PhD research there. He taught in several Universities like University of the Punjab, National Textile University, National University of Emerging Sciences and Lahore Garrison University as a visiting faculty member. He is interested in teaching "Spatial and Spatio-temporal Statistics", "Regression Modelling", "Experimental Design", "Introductory Statistics using R" and "Inferential Statistics". Moreover, he is expert user of SPSS, Minitab, R, Origin and Latex. He has worked as a reviewer of two highly esteemed journals of Elsevier and Springer: Spatial Statistics and Arabian Journal of Geoscience. He supervised five M.Phil students in Statistics. He has a number of national and international research publications. Teaching, counselling and motivating the students is among his best hobbies.
