Dr. Muhammad Arshad Kamran

Dr. Muhammad Arshad Kamran is currently serving as Associate Professor (BPS-20) of Physics, Chairman-Department of Physics, and Director-Quality Enhancement Cell, UNIVERSITY OF OKARA, Renalakhurd, Pakistan. Before joining University of Okara, he worked as an Associate Professor of Physics at Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Muhammad Arshad Kamran completed his PhD (2010-2014) degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a specialization in Materials Physics and Chemistry (Nanotechnology), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China. During PhD studies, he has been selected as a Guest-Scientist in the Department of Experimental Physics, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany where he conducted research on diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMSs) nanostructures: correlation between magnetic and optical properties. Dr. Kamran has various awards to his credit including Distinguished Student Awards in BIT (2012 & 2013), Best Researcher Awards in Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia (2016, 2017, & 2018), and Best Researcher Award in University of Okara, Pakistan (2020). Up till now, he has obtained several national and international prestigious research funding from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST)-Saudi Arabia (Grant # LGP-36-173), Basic Science Research Unit-Majmaah University-Saudi Arabia (Grant # 36-16; Grant # 37-16; Grant # 1440-71; Grant # RGP-2019-8; Grant # RGP-2019-11; Grant # 1439-7), and NRPU-HEC Pakistan (Ref No. 20-17267/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021 2021). His interest lies in the controlled growth of low dimensional (1D, 2D) semiconductors nanostructures, Carbon materials, and composites for optoelectronic, and energy applications. He has more than 60 publications in his credit in peer-reviewed international SCI journals with various publishers including world premium scientific journals like Nano-Letters, ACS Photonics, Journal of Applied Physics, Nanotechnology, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of Physical Chemistry, Ceramics International, Optics Letters, AAAS-Research, etc with more than 150 impact factor.
