MPhil Biotechnology

Program Structure

MPhil. Biotechnology is a four semester program, which combines state of the art training in Biotechnology along with core and optional courses providing theoretical background for the field. The structure of program is designed to meet the needs of scholars of Biotechnology in this scientific era. After completing program in biotechnology, the man power shall be available for teaching, research and development, and services in agriculture, health, environment and industry

Eligibility Criteria

BS (4 years) with (Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Molecular Genetics / Biological Sciences) or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 in semester system or 60% marks in Annual System. The departmental entrance test will be treated as a qualifying examination. 50% score in GAT will be one of the eligibility criteria

Degree Completion Requirements

For the award of M.Phil. Biotechnology degree, candidates will either need to complete 30 credit hours of course work or complete 24 credit hours of course work along with a minimum of 6 credit hours for research work/thesis. The student must have earned a CGPA of at least 2.50 out of scale 4.00.
